Dinovite GOAL: Smell your Dog|
We're here to encourage you to keep going! You are about at the mid-way point through your supplement and you may be starting to see some positives.
This week the goal is to smell your dog. That may sound weird, but hear us out. You can really tell quite a bit of how well your dog is doing! If your dog is smelling fresher, this is a great sign of wonderful things happening on the inside. If your dog still has a funky smell, let's look into where the source is. Scroll down for details about this, and a special offer.
Of course, by this point, your dog should be getting 1 full scoop of Dinovite for Dogs supplement each day. If he's not eating the full scoop, he is not getting enough supplement to fully support his immune system, digestive track, and well-being. Work your pet to the full scoop per day for best results. What the Heck is That SMELL?! Is That Really the Dog?
Ewww, that smell! Not much can be worse than the stink of a stinky dog. It is hard to enjoy man's best friend when he smells like Buffalo B.O.!
Most dog smells (that come from the inside out) can be narrowed down to 2 causes: Gas or Yeast
Smells From Inside: Dogs with Gas
A dog's bad gas is a direct sign that he is having difficulty digesting his food. Most people feed their dogs a dry commercial kibble dog food and these are loaded with carbohydrates, fillers, rancid fats, dyes, and chemicals that can all upset your dog's digestive tract and cause stinky dog gas. In the USA, it is the practice to feed dog foods that are largely made of grains. Grains are very hard for your dog to digest resulting in digestive upset and bad dog gas.
To eliminate the gas issues, you need to modify your dogs diet and add elements that will help him digest his dog food. Some important elements to include are digestive enzymes. It is important to feed your dog fresh meats, animal fats, and oils. Stay away from grains and fillers both cause bad gas in dogs.
Smells From the Outside: Dogs with Yeast:
Yeast on dogs is caused by a yeast called Candida albicans. Candida albicans is an opportunistic yeast that normally inhabits the body and intestinal tract of our pets. The job of candida albicans in dogs is to recognize and destroy harmful bacteria.
In a healthy dog's body, candida albicans is controlled by a properly functioning immune system and "friendly" bacteria. However, if a dog's immune system is weakened, the number of friendly bacteria decreases, and candida albicans will shift from yeast form (a non-invasive, sugar-fermenting organism) to fungal form (invasive, mucosa damaging) - the dog's yeast infection starts.
Signs of a dog with a yeast infection:
- Dog has stinky skin, that comes from the inside. Does your dog stink right after a bath?
- Dog has chronic ear problems, stinky, goopy itchy ears. Do you clean, medicate, deodorize your dog's ears continually?
- Dog has itchy skin, paw licking, skin rashes. Are you up all night listening to your dog lick and dig?
- Dog has oily fur & flaky skin, brittle coat. Do you hesitate to pet your dog because of what ends up on your hands? Does your house smell like your "sour milk" dog?
